Our Services
Building a Just Society Through Education and Action
At Jana Kalyan Welfare Society, we are dedicated to empowering marginalized communities through a variety of initiatives aimed at fostering holistic development and social change. Our key programs include:

Education Initiatives
We are committed to enhancing educational opportunities for marginalized communities. Our programs focus on providing vocational training to promote entrepreneurship and employability among women and economically disadvantaged groups. We also offer child welfare programs that ensure the well-being and development of children, providing support in healthcare, education, nutrition, and protection from abuse. Additionally, we provide resources for education, skill-building, and career development to empower young individuals and promote their active participation in society.

Community Development
Our community development efforts aim to uplift underprivileged areas through health and sanitation programs, conducting health awareness campaigns and providing medical relief to improve healthcare access in rural villages. We engage in environmental conservation activities like plantation programs and environmental education to promote sustainable practices and protect natural resources. We also train and support self-help groups to empower women and marginalized communities, fostering economic independence and social cohesion.

Relief Operations
In times of crisis, we provide medical relief by organizing free medical camps and distributing medicines to support communities during emergencies. We also conduct seminars and awareness campaigns on various issues, including disability awareness, to educate and inform communities.
Through these initiatives, Jana Kalyan Welfare Society strives to create a society where every individual is valued and has the opportunity to thrive. Our commitment to community empowerment, social justice, and transformative change is evident in our diverse programs and outreach efforts.
At Jana Kalyan Welfare Society, we are committed to empowering marginalized communities through a variety of initiatives aimed at promoting education, organizing communities, and providing basic relief.
Combating Child Labor
We have initiated the “Combating Child Labor Project” across 60 slums and villages in Rajahmundry Urban and Rural Mandals. This project focuses on eliminating child labor by providing education and vocational training to children, offering them a pathway to a brighter future.
Support for Children Living with HIV/AIDS (CLHIV/CAA)
In collaboration with various stakeholders, we launched the CHAHA Project in July 2007 to support children living with HIV/AIDS in Visakhapatnam District. The project has identified and registered over 1,000 CLHIV/CAA, providing them with health and medical care, educational support, psycho-social assistance, and income generation programs.
Empowerment of Indigenous Women
We focus on empowering indigenous women through education, leadership training, and health awareness programs. Our efforts target women in the Eastern Ghats and fisherfolk communities along the Bay of Bengal, aiming to enhance their socio-economic status and overall well-being.
Disaster Preparedness and Relief
We have been actively involved in disaster preparedness and relief operations, particularly for fisherfolk communities along the Bay of Bengal. Our initiatives include conducting training programs on disaster preparedness and providing immediate relief during natural calamities, ensuring the safety and resilience of these communities.
Environmental Conservation
We are committed to environmental education and mangrove conservation along the Andhra Pradesh coast. Our programs aim to raise awareness among students and local communities about the importance of mangroves in coastal ecosystems and promote their preservation.
Social Forestry Programme
Funded by ITC’s Corporate Social Responsibility, our Social Forestry Programme commenced in April 2008 and remains ongoing. Operating in 25 mandals across East Godavari, West Godavari, and Visakhapatnam districts, it aims to promote Eucalyptus and Casuarina plantation as an alternative livelihood for rural communities, particularly small and marginal tribal and weaker section farmers. Through participatory methods and capacity building, it fosters awareness, provides training, and facilitates market linkages for farmers.
Skill Development and Employment
We offer skill development training and employment programs to empower individuals, particularly women and marginalized groups, with the necessary tools to lead healthy and productive lives. These initiatives aim to create a progressive community and encourage individuals to look beyond their economic limitations.
Old Age Care and Rehabilitation
We provide care and rehabilitation services for the elderly, ensuring they receive the support and dignity they deserve. Our programs focus on enhancing the quality of life for senior citizens through various support services.
Support for Disabled Children
We offer rehabilitation services for children with disabilities, providing them with the necessary support to lead fulfilling lives. Our programs include therapy, education, and vocational training tailored to individual needs.
Blood Donation Camps
We organize blood donation camps to address the critical need for blood in medical emergencies. These camps are conducted regularly to ensure a steady supply of blood for hospitals and clinics.
Self-Employment Programs
We facilitate self-employment programs to empower individuals with the skills and resources needed to start their own businesses. These programs include training, mentorship, and financial support to encourage entrepreneurship.
Distribution of Food and Clothes
We conduct distribution programs to provide food and clothing to those in need, particularly during festivals and emergencies. These initiatives aim to alleviate immediate hardships faced by underprivileged communities.
Free Education Programs
We offer free education programs to children from underprivileged backgrounds, ensuring they have access to quality education without financial constraints. These programs include tuition, study materials, and extracurricular activities to support holistic development.
Environmental Conservation
We are committed to environmental conservation through various initiatives, including tree planting, waste management, and awareness campaigns. Our programs aim to promote sustainable practices and environmental stewardship among communities.
Through these diverse programs, Jana Kalyan Welfare Society strives to create a just society based on values, fostering sustainable development and improving the quality of life for marginalized communities.
