Our Vision

Our Story

Jana Kalyan Welfare Society was established in 2002 in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, with a steadfast commitment to empowering marginalized communities through education, organization, and basic relief. Our mission is to create a just society founded on values, focusing on uplifting the poor and the oppressed.

Through our initiatives, we aim to:

Promote Education

We believe that education is the cornerstone of empowerment. Our programs focus on providing quality education to underprivileged children, offering skill development and training to adults, and conducting health awareness sessions, particularly for indigenous women in the Eastern Ghats and fisherfolk women along the Bay of Bengal. These efforts aim to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary for personal and community advancement.

Organize Communities

Community organization is vital for collective progress. We facilitate the formation of self-help groups, conduct leadership training, and promote environmental education, including mangrove conservation and awareness programs. These initiatives empower communities to address their challenges collaboratively, fostering a sense of unity and shared responsibility.

Provide Basic Relief

In times of need, providing immediate relief is crucial. Our relief operations include distributing food and clothing, organizing blood donation camps, and offering support to the elderly and disabled individuals. These efforts ensure that basic necessities are met, alleviating immediate hardships and contributing to the well-being of vulnerable populations.

Combating Agricultural Child Labor Project

We work to eliminate child labor in agriculture by promoting education and alternative livelihoods for children and their families. This initiative ensures that children receive quality education instead of working in hazardous conditions.

Installation of R.O. Water Plants

To address water scarcity and contamination issues, we install Reverse Osmosis (R.O.) water plants in underserved areas, providing communities with access to clean and safe drinking water.
